1-2 "Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed the heir of all things, through whom also He created the world."
Hebrews 1:1-2 (NIV)
Athlete, too often we find a failure to communicate. Some people you just can't reach, we think. It's inevitable and hopelessly true for all kinds of reasons.
When it comes to God, we never find this true. God never fails to communicate. He always speaks...at many times and in various ways. The best way is through His Son. He masterfully communicates life and love, grace and truth, justice and mercy, peace and perspective, forgiveness and hope. Are you listening? Are you looking? Is He your communication default?
Maybe if our communication was better with God, our failures in communicating well with others would be erased.
Athlete, take a good look at Jesus. He will brighten your day. Listen to the Spirit and the Word. They are master communicators. And remember that God will never fail to communicate all that you really need. Wait patiently for Him. (Psalm 27:14 & 37:7) "He who has ears, let him hear!" (Matthew 13:9)
