It feels great to be recognized for your physical abilities, stature, intellect, or personality. How much more special to be noticed, to be spotted, for something else...your spirit. Having an uncommon, exceptional spirit is the best. It's the real difference maker (RDM). It sets one apart like no other. An exceptional spirit invades all other areas of our lives, positively changing how we see everything. It makes us powerful and helps us transcend every barrier we face.

Daniel 5:11 goes on to point out three areas where there the spirit of God becomes a RDM in us:

1. INSIGHT. The Spirit opens eyes to possibilities. It casts a powerful, accurate light on how we should see the world, others, ourselves and our circumstances. The Spirit helps us see more than we could otherwise imagine.
2. INTELLIGENCE. The Spirit allows intelligence to grow. God's Spirit maximizes intellect. He puts our smarts into action and reveals this to others too.
3. WISDOM. The Spirit points us down the path of wisdom, keeps us tracking there, and doesn't let us get stuck in our foolishness. And Spirit-wisdom gets us out of the ditch better and faster than experience ever can.
