Prove to be Faithful

2  “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.”

1 Corinthians 4:2 (NIV)

Superior basketball teams value possessions big time … every single one. They won't take possessions off, on O or D.

They feel the continual surge of responsibility like waves which must relentlessly pound a beach. They’re grounded in a sense of duty to protect and defend no matter what, like a U.S. Marine for his or her country.

“To whom much is given, much will be required” sounds in their ears like gifted drummers always hearing an inner cadence. Making the most of every opportunity governs how they live. They zero in and max out.

One certain question in life that God will ask all of us is this: “What have you done with what all I’ve given you?”

Our certain answer must be #ProvenFaithful.

Reflect: What trusts have you been given by God? Are you proving faithful with them? Specifically, are you:

  • Maximizing your time? (Psalm 90:12)

  • Developing your talents? (Colossians 3:23; Psalm 78:72)

  • Stewarding your treasures? (Matthew 25:14-30)

  • Valuing your relationships? (Psalm 1; Proverbs 3:3,4)

Where might you need to tighten things up?

God takes “possessions” seriously. We better too. Wins in life await as we do. Let’s go get them!
